When Are The Tax Relief Checks Being Issued?
The government sends every taxpayer, tax relief checks. These checks are issued by the government to lessen the citizen’s burden of paying taxes. If the taxpayer had failed to pay the previous year’s tax they are issued a reminder letter from the IRS. The IRS does a thorough calculation and sends yet another mail which informs the citizens exactly how much they owe from the government and when to expect the money in that particular year. The government typically starts sending out these checks from April 28.
The taxpayers, who file their returns around mid-April, can expect their returns after eight weeks. That is the minimum time the IRS takes to process returns. The IRS will issue direct deposit payment transmission based the last two digits of the taxpayer’s Social Security number. For example, those with 00 to 20 as the last two digits can expect it on May 2; the ones who have 21-75 ending digits can expect it on May 9; and the ones between 76 and 99 should look out for their returns around May 16.
The taxpayers who do not have direct deposit can expect paper checks to be mailed to then starting from May 16.
In summary, those with digits between 00-09 can expect it any day from May 16; 10-18 from May 23; 19 - 25 can be on the alert by May 30; 26 - 38 can look out for it after June 6. While 39 – 51 can be ready to receive it after June 13; 52 - 63 will be mailed by June 20; and 64 - 75 can keep their eyes open after June 27. The ones between 76 and 87 by July 4; and those with the last two digits of the Social Security number between 88 and 99 can expect their tax relief checks by July 11.
